Cookie policy

Smet Group uses Google Analytics cookies for website analytics. These cookies only track which pages are visited; no statistics or data about the visitor are stored.

Do we share the data with other parties?

Smet Group We never share personal data without your consent unless required by law. We only share the information you provide with third parties if it is necessary for the delivery of the products you have ordered or the services you have requested. An example of this is a postal service that collects, transports, and delivers mail. These organizations receive only the necessary information, such as your address and, if applicable, a phone number or email address to schedule an appointment.

Smet Group ensures that data exchange complies with legal requirements. This includes, among other things, implementing organizational and technical measures to assure customers that their privacy is protected.

How we protect personal data

Smet Group takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unintended disclosure, and unauthorized modification. If you feel that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact our customer service or via info@smetgroup.be

How long we retain personal data

Smet Group does not retain your personal data for any longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected.

View, edit, or delete data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you may have given for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Smet Group, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organization of your choice.

You may send a request to access, correct, or delete your personal data, a request for data portability, a request to withdraw your consent, or an objection to the processing of your personal data to info@smetgroup.be. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask that you include a copy of your ID with your request.

On this copy, black out your passport photo, the MRZ (machine-readable zone—the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), your passport number, and your Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than within four weeks.
