Berlin Walls

A Berlin wall is a sheet piling construction. H-sections are vertically driven into the ground at a regular intermediate distance. As the excavation progresses, wooden beams, prefabricated concrete slabs or steel plates are placed between the flanges of the H sections, thus creating an earth-retaining construction.
