1950: Merger with Bofor n.v. and formation of Smet n.v.

1977: Establishment of the operating company Smet-Boring n.v.

1993: Establishment of the subsidiaries
– Smet-Groundwater-Technics n.v.
– Smet- Foundation & Consolidation n.v.
– Smet-Tunnelling n.v.

2000: Celebration of 100 years of existence at De Warande in Turnhout

2003: Relocation from 1 Oude Markt  to 64 Kastelsedijk (industrial estate Stenehei)
